Since we were building roller coasters i decided for my blog i would describe how Newton's Laws makes it possible to run one of he most popular rides in Disneyland California Adventure, the Maliboomer. At the beginning of the ride they use Newton's 1st law which states that and object at rest should remain at rest unless a force is acted upon it. This is used because they use spring to blast you 180 into the air. They then use friction to slow down the ride so it does not got ramming into the top of the ride. They then let you drop and use friction once again so you don't go into a free fall. This goes on for some time then finally the use friction to lower you slowly to the ground. This is one of my favorite rides. Although i did most of this from memory when i went on the ride, i did use the following website to find out the height of the roller coaster. The website was http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneyland/en_US/parks/attractions/detail?name=MaliboomerAttractionPage.
The following is a video of the ride.
