Counting Bees?

Some researchers in Australia have discovered that bees can count! Well at least to four. Scientists from the University Queensland put five marker inside a tunnel. Inside one of them they put nectar. They set some bees free in the tunnel to find the nectar, they immediatley flew to the marker that had the nectar in it; even when the marker had no food in it. One of the reaearchers said the following: "We find that if you train them to the third stripe, they will look subsequently in the third stripe," researcher Mandyam Srinivasan said. She also said that it seems that they can only count to four. Even though these bees only have the brain size of a seasame seed they sure can do amazing things. Who knew?
